MOTION & FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEMS
The Internal Weapon Bay Actuators System, which is being developed for Turkey's 5th generation multi-role combat aircraft, the National Combat Aircraft Project. It is designed to provide the low radar signature characteristic required for a 5th generation fighter aircraft by housing the munitions in the internal weapon bays under the fuselage.
The system's fast operation significantly reduces the aircraft's radar signature. The system is specially designed to ensure smooth opening of the doors during any maneuvers and under challenging environmental conditions encountered during the aircraft's missions.
Internal Weapon Bay Doors Actuation System comprises main and side weapon bay doors actuation system. Internal Weapon Bay Doors Actuation System consists of electrohydraulic and rotary mechanical drive systems, electronic control unit with closed-loop control system, angular gearbox, geared rotary actuators, travel limiters, uplock mechanism, position sensors and torque tubes.
5th Generation Fighter Aircraft Internal Weapon Caps
The system is equipped with advanced fault detection and troubleshooting capabilities, enabling efficient maintenance and ensuring reliable operation.
The system ensures a low radar footprint, contributing to the stealth capabilities of the aircraft.
The system enables rapid and efficient opening and closing of the weapon bays, allowing for quick deployment of the weapons.
The system supports simultaneous or independent operation of the weapon bays, providing flexibility in mission planning and execution.
