LANDING GEAR SYSTEMS

Landing Gear Systems

The Landing Gear System, developed and produced for the first time in Turkey for MMU KAAN, is a retractable type landing gear system with a nose landing gear in a tricycle configuration. It includes a nose landing gear steering system and a brake system. The main components of the Landing Gear System are struts and shock absorbers, tire wheels and brakes, actuators, upper locks, hydraulic manifolds, landing gear control panel, control units, position indicators, and warning systems.

The purpose of developing the Landing Gear System is to provide a system that supports the weight of the aircraft, dampens the forces during landing impact, slows down, stops, and steers the aircraft on the ground, and allows the opening and closing of the landing gear during flight.
